Chair and City Leadership
Jon Dennis serves as the chairman and city leader for The Chicago Partnership for Church Planting which he helped to establish over 5 years ago. Jon is a founding pastor and the Senior Pastor of Holy Trinity Church in Chicago, a multi-ethnic church with congregations in Pilsen, Hyde Park, Downtown and the North Side. He currently serves on the Executive Team of Redeemer City to City for North America. He serves on several boards including The Charles Simeon Trust (which he helped to found) and Crossway Books. He lives in Hyde Park with his wife, Amy, and has five children.
Vice Chair and Director of CPCP Capital
Rod serves on the executive board of the the Chicago Partnership as vice chairman of CPCP Capital. His focus is on connecting a network of visionary leaders to resource 100 new church plants over the next decade throughout Chicago. He and his wife, Jona, have three active children and he has served as an Elder at Park Community Church since 2005. Vocationally, he is a marketplace leader that works to help people understand their Ephesians 2:10 calling and the innate motivation that God implants in us to fulfill it.
Director of Coaching and Planter Development
Mark Bergin is the lead pastor at The Painted Door Church in Ukrainian Village. He and his wife Acacia moved to Chicago from Seattle in 2009 as church planters with Acts 29. They have four children, one dog, and a passion to see people relieved from the burden of trying to be a somebody. Mark coaches the church planters connected to CPCP and tells them, and anyone who will listen, that they are free to be nobodies in Christ.

Brian’s passion is "to train leaders in ministry to urban America." In 2006 he founded The Legacy Conference to equip those that are serious about being disciples of Christ to make disciples for Christ. In 2008 he co-founded Legacy Christian Fellowship, a multiplying house church movement in the city of Chicago. Brian joined the staff of GRIP Outreach For Youth in September 2011 and is currently responsible for recruiting and training over 100 mentors that walk life with fatherless teens. He has been married to his best friend and ministry partner, Heidi, since July 2000.
Events Leadership, Church Planter
Derrick Puckett is the Lead Pastor and Church Planter of Renewal Church of Chicago in Chicago, IL. He and his wife, Kaley, moved to Chicago in 2013 to plant a Gospel centered disciple making multi-ethnic church. Renewal started in 2014 and has been thriving ever since. Derrick has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a Masters of Divinity from Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary. Derrick and Kaley have 4 beautiful daughters: Ramiyah, Elyana, Isabelle and Nalah.
Ashanti Pettaway serves as Director of Training for Chicago Partnership for Church Planting. He also leads, “The Chicago Incubator”, which is a 2 year training program for church planters. He helped launch The Chicago Incubator this fall (2017). He is a Pastoral Resident with Holy Trinity Church. Ashanti was married to his sweetheart, Amanda Raquel, in 2009, and they have 2 children.
Director for Parakaleo
Heidi has lived in the West Garfield neighborhood of Chicago for the past 13 years. For the last ten years, she has been working in a public school four blocks from her house as a teacher and after school coordinator. She is passionate about neighborhood ministry, discipleship of women, education, and taking care of the many young men who live with her and her husband (who just celebrated 17 years of marriage). In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, scrapbook, read, and travel.
Laura Curtin is the Administration Assistant for The Chicago Partnership. She also works for Holy Trinity Church Chicago as Jon Dennis’ assistant, and Neopolis, a global church planting network, to help with Special Projects. Laura is originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada but has been living in Chicago since 2015. She obtained her MBA in Healthcare Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Laura is married to Sully Curtin, a Ministry Director for Holy Trinity Church Northside and Downtown.
